My kittens are thankfully virus free but they are falling into depressive moods, including some somatic symptoms, because of a damn balcony and building elevation refurbishment. The whole problem lies in windows covered with an opaque foil. Yesterday Lion stopped peeing, luckily he decided to pee again after 29 hours of pretending to be a desert cat, and Tayga vomits much too often which also seems to me more like nervous reaction than any illness symptom.
The foil transmits a part of light but it's impossible to see anything through it. The kittehs are used to sit on the windows ledges and watch the yard, other buildings, people, dogs, birds etc. We have every single window covered now and I have no idea for how long. On Monday I was told that the crew had been moved to the other site and their own boss didn't know when they would be back (!).
A despair in their eyes...
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

Oh, I’m so sorry for this, lioness. They don’t understand that things will eventually go back to normal for them. I hope the work is done quickly. Maybe there is a special, new distraction to give them for a while?

Damn…. such an unexpected jail for them. lioness hoping for a speedy ending of the works. Sending hugs and best wishes to your furry balls and you.
Thank you, my dears. I try to play with them every night. I also play for them films for cats from YT with birds etc. They do like them and are interested. I guess tonight I'll watch with them some good wildlife documentary like Our Planet. They love it.
We're nowhere close to the end of the work. The crew didn't come back, only a sort of a replacement crew consisting of Ukrainian workers does the simple works on the walls. The balconies are intact speaking of refurbishment, they only serve as a sort of a storage and rubbish dump...

So sorry to hear about the forced building construction! I hope that Lion and Tayga get acclimated to the change quickly - I doubt they could ever like it. Good idea about watching wildlife films with them - I should do that with my little Luripurr.
Mr woke up this morning to find a cat turd on the hall rug. About five days ago, I found a small “nugget” (ahem) near the easy chair.
Litter box is always clean. This has never happened before. The other day, Murray was hanging out inside her litter box (we thought she was scared and hiding) for a long time.
Been a cat owner my whole life and never had this issue. Displeased. Will consult vet.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Stress can do it. Or even a new type of kitty litter. But do speak with a vet to be absolutely sure

Maybe your fridge situation combined with your guest at home?... Cats notice much more than we do. Not to mention how sensitive they are. We are like thick skin dinosaurs comparing to them.
I hope it is not any health problem. Fingers crossed.

We're covered with foil all the time but today they told me that tomorrow they are going to cut the old tiles and everything what is beneath them on my balcony. It's going to be extremely loud. The kittehs are very afraid of noise...
