My mentor and her husband have incredible wildlife (notpets) on their property, as well as some great pet chickens and a sweet chiweenie (chihuahua / daschund mix) named Finola. I don't like little dogs, but she's amazing. Kept up with us on hikes and is super cuddly. Never barks.
The chickens are so well socialized to humans. The "ladies" lay great eggs every day and will let you pet them. One will fall asleep on your lap. I sat down with her on my lap and another one hopped on, too. I now LOVE chickens because these have huge personality.
Let me introduce you all to Bingo’s new cousin, no name !
Are you getting a puppy?
Nope not me! The pup in the photo has been adopted by my mom, sister and niece. That’s my niece holding the pup in the photo. Bingo will be spending lots of time with her I’m sure.
These signs have been up for a few weeks. Baby parrot escapee. There are tons of similar-looking birds in the neighborhood because of the HUGE cemetery colony of green parrots from Argentina. There are also lots of hawks because of the cemetery and Prospect Park. I think that bird's either permanently free, or a goner.
