There are some interesting comments on that thread and its replies indicating that perhaps sometimes the man himself has been less than stellar in his endeavors.. Pot & Kettle maybe? Who knows, I do concur that there's a lot of trash-talking and he-said she-said on any social media...
I guess the problem with everyone having a voice, is that everyone has a voice.
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
I was blissfully unaware of all this as I'd already blocked both COF and Roger ages ago.
My timeline is carefully curated
(Pun intended)
I'm happy in the knowledge they both blocked me, Roger because I mentioned Timotei too often, COF as I called him something else beginning with T, ending with T, possibly an A and W somewhere between the T's.

I think Roger comes across as an asshole somtimes (I met him once and he was very snooty and dismissive) but always has interesting things to say about music. This
Synth History: What are some tips for somebody looking for a new synthesizer?
Roger: It depends on what they want to do, doesn’t it? Personally, I would tell them to buy a Moog or one of Dave’s Sequential Circuits and as soon as they get it, erase all the presets. They should find out how it works and not put any effects on it, or at least not the internal ones anyway. Erase the presets immediately and avoid using anyone else's sounds. Creating your own sounds are just as much a part of the creative process as writing a song and the notes being played.
I can relate to this being a visual artist. Like learning to paint with basic colors and just one brush. I really like his solo material.
He seems to be quite humble about the experience of writing for film. I saw Sam and Kate last year at AFF and didn't have a strong sense of THIS IS ROGER ODONNELL OF THE CURE. It wasn't flashy. I'd like to see what he could do for a gangster film.
It would be so perfect if you would just fall out the window
Am only halfway through - I'm assuming they'll be mates by '89 when they next play together. The book's a good read, he's changed a few names to protect the innocent but it's a fairly affectionate bit of nostalgia, no real bitterness.
