As per usual, the setlist will be something that will be a talking point regardless of whether it's a copy paste job from last year's festivals or it contains some rarely played treats. & true to form, the band have kept silent on what to expect. Not even Roger has dropped hints on social media.
Go on then. Let's hear what you think our boys will play. Will we get some hints as to the "fabled" trilogy shows?
I think that some more Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me tracks could surface this weekend
So, I was pretty disappointed when I heard about the 1hour and 45 Min set time. I had already come to grips with the it's a "festival" so typical set list, with maybe one or two treats thrown in like the 2012 and 2013 festival shows. I personally hope for more from The Top, as this is it is the 30th anniversary for it. Anyway to cheer myself up I reviewed the set lists from all of the shows I have seen in the past. I was pleasantly surprised to see that only one song has been played at all 18 shows, In between Days. I now feel much better, and am really getting excited for the show.
I'm guessing they will get till 10:55 if not a little longer, as Sundays event goes till 11pm not 10:45. I think its a PR thing, and knowing The Cure have a history of pushing the envelope and running over, i believe its a CYA for the promoters. They may also, start a little early too, as they are allowing 1 hour for the stage set up. We'll see what happens.
