Peepshow & Looking Glass are rubbish. Haven't most of these already been remastered (& generally ruined with dynamic compression) already & released on a proper format (CD). 180g vinyl sounds no different from regular weight vinyl. This is just a gimmick to hook gullible people into spending more money. Sonically the weight has sod all to do with anything. It's the mastering & pressing quality that makes the difference.
Second your opinion re: overall gimmick value. Since Whole Foods (??) and Barnes & Noble (?) sell vinyl here in the US, bet they'd fly off the shelves stocked there.

Exactly!
For these 2018 LP vinyl represses, audio has been overseen by Siouxsie & Steven Severin: they were with engineer Miles Showell when he did the lacquers (mastering) at Abbey Road.
The result is awesome. I managed to grab the limited gold vinyl of Juju (1000 copies), which was available in some HMV stores in the UK, last June.
The third batch of studio album LP vinyl represses is out in December: it includes the studio albums The Rapture (1995), Kaleidoscope (1980), Peepshow (1988) and Hyaena (1984).
The Rapture(1995) first time ever released on double vinyl. It was never released by Polydor in the UK. It is a lush, organic and eclectic album. It was partly produced by former Velvet Underground John Cale.
Amazonuk lists the Rapture 100% more expensive at £34.62 !!!
Kaleidoscope (1980) is the first studio album with the great John McGeoch on guitars. It also included synthesizers for the first time. It is their most successful record, it reached the number 5 position in the UK albums chart. It has been hailed by everyone from the Jam's Paul Weller, Johnny Marr, The Cure's Robert Smith, Radiohead's Thom Yorke, Primal Scream, Santigold. Hyaena (1984) is the only album composed and performed with Robert Smith of the Cure on guitars & keyboards. It features strings, piano, marimba. AllMusic wrote in an 4.5 out of 5 review : "The emphasis here is on layered arrangements and pop tunes disguised as art-house production numbers".

I'm really, really surprised Kaleidoscope was their most successful album as measured by the charts. I would've thought either Peepshow or Superstition would have been received as more "accessible" and commercially successful, despite the fact they're inferior albums. Kaleidoscope is, indeed, a fantastic album and I think it's where they really sound like they've come into their own with a fully developed sound.
As for Hyaena, since it has RS' unmistakable guitar work, of course it's one of my favorites. That album is lush and beautiful and takes me to another place entirely. It's a totally vivid dreamworld.
The only album from Siouxsie And The Banshees I appreciate is Hyaena ... "Swimming Horses" is so Curish (a kind of "Six Different Ways" that has been released later) and so not Bansheeish !!! And... Robert is involved into it (whatever dirty words Siouxsie Sioux said about his presence in that album)
A very limited edition of Tinderbox on burgundy coloured vinyl is released this week for the 35th anniversary of the album, only via several retailers.
Tinderbox is listed among the 12 best alternative rock albums of the 1980s by PopMatters who wrote : it is " a bold and enchanting album that ought to be included in any record collection".
I'm pretty sure I've stil got the Tinderbox poster, might have gone...now the funny thing is, if it had a flying horse on it and the words Deep and Purple, no way would I have let it go...crazy human beings we are...
(Edit...Looing at 'em now side by side I've never noticed the Banshees reversed it for Tinderbox, I thought they'd just took out the pegasus.)

I would avoid this gimmick like the plague. It's vinyl, it's low quality coloured vinyl, & it's the remastered 2009 version (minus the bonus tracks) which has had its dynamic range compressed by around 40%. This album's far too good to ruin like that. Save your money & stick with the original pressing. It's way better
