What happens to the organizers of a festival if they let the bands play past curfew? The band wanted to play two more songs, didn't they? Playing 10 minutes longer than allowed ... would that have been really bad for the organizers? It certainly was for Robert because he looks really angry on the videos!
What time was it when the mics were turned off ? Either they were playing quite late, or the Festivals have early curfew ? At which festival last year (or earlier) their mics were also turned off - was it during Boys don't cry ? (ha my memory ...).

Coachella three years ago. They played BDC only with the stage sound and Grinding Halt with no power at all.
The fines are horrendous for over running . That's why at gigs at the O2 dome run so tight .. I can't recall the exact figure but I saw ones for the Dome so many thousand per minute then if it goes over say ten minutes it goes up more and more .. I gulped at the figures. I guess it's the same there. Even so It should have worked out on paper . It's not as if as a bad they waffle on for ages between songs like some bands do. Robert looked very annoyed .. ( it's a bit rude to just cut the mike ) .. Plus was it that festival that's been brought back from the brink ? If so I guess they wanted to stick to the rules ( sucks though ).
They played from 8:00 PM until 12:15 AM at the Beacon in New York City in 2011, the city that never sleeps. Yeah I know you are all tired of hearing about it. Too bad! We would never turn The Cure off!! Pu$$ies they are all pu$$ies.
Surely the curfews are different and more rigid for outdoor events, because of noise pollution? Wasn't it Dustbin Beaver who was really late at the O2 Arena and people left before he came on stage. In London at least, bands tend to finish around 11pm purely because the trains then start to wind down for the night.
