A weird one I know, but a few posts about the Uncut mag has prompted this.

What smells float your boat?
& why?

I'll kick off with new magazines.
They are just amazing. I think I could hang around in a news agents the whole day sniffing stuff.
I suppose it's the chemicals from the ink/ paper. There is just something irresistible about them.

OK, if we're having a dedicated thread for this over here I have got to get new vinyl in. With new records you got the double whammy of the smell of the cover too, especially the gatefold jobs.

Mmm any kind of ink, paint, sometimes glue... but also less "chemical" smells, the sea and freshly mowed grass
