Not just Dany that can play with fire then Cersei will murder just about anyone to get on that throne. Jon looked a tad awkward at all that King in the North stuff didn't he? & how about Arya? The little scamp Loved the scene with Olenna though, telling the sand snakes to shut up & let the adults speak Sad to see the season end, but it was a great finale. Dany's going to reduce King's Landing to burning rubble I think. That is one insanely big armada she's got.
I really hope all those soldiers in that armada brought deck chairs, I wouldn't want to stand for the whole voyage! Series was too short, ten episodes is half a series!

Yep. Way too short. I read the next one will only be seven. Shouldn't be so bad if they were all 90 minutes long, but even so, seven?
I was also shocked when I first heard this...but 8 years is relatively a long run for an HBO series. Is odd though-first time an adaptation will finish before the book series?!? Maybe? If Martin is as slow a writer as I, then absolutely.

Yeah, I suppose going out having really excelled is a better move than dragging it out until everyone is sick to death of it.
I'm a big fan of the show. And what Steve says is right. There is no point in dragging it. The producers had said they had this planned from the beginning. They only have so much story to tell and there is no need to stretch it. It would just ruin the show. Take Breaking Bad for example. Awesome show. There was no need for more. That was the story they need to tell and that was the time needed. I will miss GoT of course but I prefer it to be awesome than long.
There's another person for Arya Stark to add to her list...why did he get cast in the first place? Not exactly a "celebrity appearance" type of show. Otherwise, pretty fantastic start to the end.

Aha. I forgot about Sigur Ros, but those other cameos totally went unnoticed by me. Well...about half of them are not worth noting unless you like snooze-worthy tunes I wish I also didn't know who the S.G.L. M.B.E. was though!
