Not that I was watching the countdown clock.... but final bid £2,751.00 came in on the last second.
Winners all round, for the charity and the lucky person who got it. I really hope it's gone to a loving home.
Damn! I spent most of last night trying to persuade my hubby that as i needed a new bass why didn't I buy Simon's autographed guitar on sale on ebay. Not that I would have tried to play it - I'm hopeless!
I told him all about the charity, cos he is a longtime mountain biker, so it seemed relevant. I have often accompanied him to emergency departments (struggling in foreign languages) as he gets bandaged up, or tended to cuts and scars (some from ski-ing trips, but thats another story). But Micheals injuries are lifechanging.
Still, hope it has gone to a good home and the funds help with Michael's recovery.

I'm guessing that Simon put this up for auction not just because he is also a long mountain biker, but he also has a collection of Orange bikes too, so guess he might have some affinity with this chap too..
