Maybe more 100 hours processing for my computer.......
Info : My Best of Two Master Tape version (VHS-MASTER & ??-MASTER) VOB to AVS VIDEO 1080p to Premier Pro CS6 to Upscaling 2048p with Instant HD to Mercalli 2.0 Stabilisation to Magic Bullet Mojo to 1080p 20MB- MP4 H264
I think upscaling is a futile exercise - especially upscaling to 2048p! It will just highlight all the flaws from the original video. CReating a 5.1 audio track is fine but I don't get the "true 5.1 DTS SOUND MIXED with many AUD Sources syncro"?? If it wasn't recorded in dts it will not be "true dts", sticking to AC3/Dolby Digital is a better option, I think. Still, it's your project so your decision, god luck!
Upcaling is just for the comfort, is not better picture but is clean without artifacts (Flawless pixelation)
now I find a usb key for transfer picture by picture without compression, if some party have a good Mater-tape perfect for last transfer analog video is very difficult to capture in digital
The Bit Rate transfert is very very important like Flac
stabilization of the video without much loss, the entire complement metrage is watchable
If I have SEVERAL different audio tracks, I can sync, perfectly recreates the atmosphere of the room are mixing them, the harder it is to find the possition of tapers in the room live
After is easy for AC3 5.1/ DTS 5.1 / PCM 5.1 (DTS-HD Master Audio) in Blu-ray
I think these shows were recorded on Video8 or something like that, so these tapes must be 1st copy, in the best case, not masters… Anyway, after seeing a few works by the D & A team, I'm curious to see the result.
I have not had time to watch them, but I find all my equipment: Player VHS / S-VHS PAL SECAM NTSC and my DVD-RECORDER PHILIPS (with high bitrate recording for 1 hours) Many come for two different Tapers I think the lineage is Video 8 to VHS VIDEO (the best one after Tapers) The one with the printer writing resembles much to the writing of the VHS-MASTER MUNICH 1989 of Steve, maybe the same Tapers ?? but I remember well, some come from C.C Tapers
