Well funnily B13 my alternative meet up suggestion was going to be in the park opposite RAH, all with our own carry outs. That way there's no stress being served and we can all see each other.
I went to the Queens last time to try and meet up with everyone and it was so mobbed it took me forever just to get in there for a drink! I ended up drinking outside totally on my own.

GOD, see the first post! The recommended pub is about a 15 minute walk. I've seen elsewhere that other fans are planning a meet up at the Queens Arms so that will def be busy.
There is another meet up also being organised and like a few people from here (i'd imagine) there are people at both meet ups that I'd like to see. Could we not all meet up at the quieter pub for a couple of hours and then head to The Queens where everyone else is going to be? Otherwise I know i'm going to be leaving our meet up early to also go to the Queens.
Yes, I saw that too and messaged Alan to let him know it was nothing personal but I will probably avoid the Queens. Even when I saw Echo & The Bunnymen it was packed and I couldn't get a drink. Yes, socialising is important but I NEED BEER too.
Bottom line is, you do what's right for you.
Actually, I have football in the afternoon so I won't be on the tube until 5pm.
I can meet people at Paddington if they're not sure where they're going, a walk to the Albert Hall will take us past a few pubs ........
Is Paddington the closest station then? I haven't got a clue when it comes to London. Hopefully will be staying at my friend's B&B in Kew - have got to work out how to get from A to B - easier said than done with my geography - er - 'skills'...

I used live by Kew Gardens, there are closer tube stations to The Hall - Victoria and paddington are probably the same distance away, it's all uphill from Victoria though!
Oh gawd - uphill and then at least 3 hours (and the rest!) standing - I haven't thought this through...will be walking like Albert Steptoe on the Sunday! Be worth it though.
I've just seen the travel plans thread - that will be a massive help

A bus from Victoria will get you half way there, after that it's just a ten minute walk up Kensington Gore, or the scenic route through Ennismore Gardens and a couple of pubs ......
