And Lost is awful. But Labyrinth is actually my favorite on the album
Lost has that "build up"ness like The Kiss.. Granted they're different songs in so many ways, but still.. it's dark and harrowing and barrelling... and.... awesome..... headphones...that's all i have to say...
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!

Due to the different editions available, I decided to build my version of the "full" album:
Lost Labyrinth Before Three Truth Goodnes and Beauty The End of the World Anniversary Us Or Them alt.end (I Don't Know What's Going) On Taking Off Never The Promise Going Nowhere This Morining Fake Why Can't I Be Me? Your God Is Fear
it all fits on one CD!

Yeah, not sure about the logic of the different editions to be honest.
I always say it's one of my favourite albums! All Cure members played as its best... I just listened again a few days ago and I just can't understand why "The Promise" is not a Top 10 for most of Cure fans... I don't know why the different tracklist on different countries (as Steve says), well Mort is right! haha! Seriously: different tracklist change the mood of this album itself. Japanese edition is my choice. I remember: when I heard that album for the first time (12 track edition). I think it was the first (and last) time I had to listened 3 times in a row, for a Cure album. By the time "Going Nowhere" sounds I was in tears, crying like a baby (all the 3 times). And I thought: if this band could take this album in concert, and sound like this, nobody could say this is not the best band in the world. I was to Mexico that year... no more comments
This album had promise, no pun intended. The production is pretty bad but songs like Lost, Labyrinth, The Promise and Going Nowhere were inspired, full of energy and even better live.
The pop songs sucked though. The rest is basically underwhelming or just plain bad. But there are more good songs here than on Wild Mood Swings or 4:13 in my mind.

It takes a good listen to appreciate it, but it is actually not bad at all. & there are more good songs on the flip side of the Lament flexi than on Wild Mood Swings

Not to forget the "Dragon hunter song". I still listen to it from time to time.
there are many good songs on this album, but they dont sit well with the first listen through, and they do very nicely live, the band should try them more often, this morning and fake would sound fantastic live
