Apparently 1 out of 255 women and 1 out of 12 men have some form of colour vision deficiency, doesn't bode well for you fellas www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77

I wonder why it says there's a higher ratio of men than women who have the deficiency? I wonder whether it's down to eyes or how if our brains are wired up differently?

A lot of men are color blind. I'll have to give it a shot later.

the simple general explanation: A lot of men are colorblind because the ability to see color (at least red/green difference) sits on the X chromosome. males only have 1 X chromosome, where women has 2 X chromosome.
therefore if the gene on their (mens) X-chromosome are mutated they will be red/green color blind, whereas both genes (1 on each of the 2 X chromosomes) will have to be mutated before the women gets red/green colorblindness.
The world is neither fair nor unfair - It's just us trying to feel that there's some sense in it

We've all come out with pretty good scores, especially you!
That's very technical! So men have more mutations?

I was very surprised at my score.
no, sorry. can´t say that men have more mutations. tried to keep the explanation simple though. But CAN say. that baby-girls in general are stronger (in the sense of survival) than baby-boys.

Hmm, maybe that's because females are the ones who give birth, to keep it all going? It's all quite interesting!
