It's not a button as such, if she goes into the settings, then goes into general, there's a setting for background app refresh. Mine was switched on and it drained my battery until I realised, and is much better now

maybe they need a tweak for the 4S. It's ok on the 5, but some apps didn't work the same until updates came out
