The idea of making a sequel for a remix is simply brilliant. It continuous where the original video ended and perfectly preserves the spirit of the original.
Just saw this thread and thought "thats a good idea!" and then realised I'd been here 3 years ago... My choice hasn't changed though - Pictures is still best!
The title of this threw me off... I wasn't sure what promo video meant... but, if we are talking about their videos... I generally think they are all pretty bad... Though I do have a few I like to watch... Friday I'm in Love... duh - it is what started me on this whole cure-venture Just Say Yes - I love when they all try to play each other's instruments... and when Robert (accidently?) hits Simon with the guitar... Let's go to Bed - It is just more fun. Boys Don't Cry - simple and so great.
The one I hate is Close to Me..... something about being confined and water rushing in..... I can't even...
I love so many, but perhaps Boys Don't Cry is at the top because it's sweet, inventive, and still fun. What I love most about all their videos is how they never use women as objects (which was/is a staple of the music video industry), and the Tim Pope videos are so playful. Even Lovesong with those socks
