I've been to NOS for the last 5 years, love the festival, love Lisbon....
If searching for Hotels by area, search near Belem Tower.
Have stayed at the Solplay Hotel 4 times, nice vibe, lots of fellow festival goers, the pool area can get nice a lively during the afternoons and they lay on a shuttle bus to and from near the venue.
At what time festival ends? Is the public transportation working those hours?

Not sure on the timetable for the concert but the transport timetables are all here on the festival website. I would imagine, as for most other big events around the world, extra busses etc will be available to get people home.

What's there to see nearby? (by foot) Perhaps you could suggest what else is a must when in Lisboa?

Hi Gita, sorry I have only just seen your questions, the Festival can go onto the early hours of the morning, the other tents can go on until 04.00 AM, the main stage does finish earlier, the latest time I have left the main stage was 2017, the Foo Fighters finished approx. 02.00 AM. Transport is still available for festival goers, trains still running and loads and loads of Taxi's. Where I have stayed has either been within 10-20 mins walk or the Hotel has laid on a shuttle bus. There is lots to see and do in Lisbon, but I just love the whole vibe of the City and can spend a few hours just strolling around watching the world go by. Obviously I need to stop every so often for "refreshment".
The festival site opens I think around 16.00, bands start shortly after so if you are there say from 18.00-02.00 then you will need plenty of time around the pool to recharge and recover.
Where would you suggest buying tickets for public transports? It's more beneficial to buy day tickets (if there are)?
