...whereas his 'simple' remasterisation of Entreat Plus ruined it ...
Just what is it he did that makes you think he ruined it?
He replaced Boris with Jason playing the drum parts!
Not really but the drums, particularly the snares, don't sound as dynamic and the mix no longer has that period sheen. It's not ruined but it isn't the same.
Have both 'pictures of you' from Entreat and from Entreat plus ready to play
Then simply play the beginning (it's approx 20 seconds long) of the intro of pictures of you from Entreat, then skip to play that same part from pictures of you from Entreat Plus.
I'm just expressing a personal opinion, there are loads of things i really don't understand in music, but if there is one thing i will never understand it's how anyone can tell Entreat Plus sounds better than Entreat after this only test!!!!!
Ridiculous isn't it? I thought pre-sales weren't allowed on evilbay, but it seems they are as long as the item is shipped within 30 days of being available
1 - I'm still looking for help to buy these records when they are due to be released. 2 - I would like to hear if Smith has made other remixes of these tracks (or has had a try at remixing other tracks) and would love to hear those unreleased things (#neverenough) ^^
