So here we are. GW 38. The final week of the Premier League season & what a season it’s been.
I’ll spare you all a long winded summary of last week’s double whammy bonanza. Suffice to say, the title was decided on the Friday & Conte was rewarded by twitter with his own champions emoji.
The final relegation spot was secured by Hull, as Palace bounce back from a 5 goal thrashing to thump the tigers at Selhurst.
Arsenal kept their hopes of a Champ’s League spot alive, but Liverpool & Citeh still look quite comfy.
Spurs played their last game at The Lane where fans left their heartfelt thanks for 118 years of memories & even before the floodlights had cooled for the last time, the demolition crews got to work.
But enough, enough of that stuff…..
What of the FPL eh?
The classic handed a 33 point win to the EIB, extending the lead to 426 overall.
But, in a shock turn of events at the top of the table, the Yellow Jersey has been snatched away from its Scottish home for a move South to Liverpool & now adorns Mav787’s Bullets & Bayonets who hold a 5 point lead.
The Big Shout Out, for a humungous 156 points (net) goes to Dead Men Walking.
The H2H produced a fine win for the IGM with 21 points which cuts EIB’s lead to just 13. Could we see a surge this weekend? We’ll have to wait & see.
Despite the jersey loss, Nikolas Vitus Lagartija’s Damage Dunfermline still hold the crown.
So, breathless stuff at the end of a long season.
Over at the shed, (in hopefully not too premature preparations of a trophy parade) as we have mis-placed the angle grinder, we’ve had to use plan B to get the roof off the bus.
The Stadium of Faith is looking splendid in the sunshine for the final GW of the season.
We have lashings of ginger beer on tap so grab a cold glass & get set for the finale
Welcome to your GW38 thread.
