A few more... I know Birdmad Girl is based on Love in the Asylum by Dylan Thomas. The line 'hello image' is from Camus A Happy Death, in which he calls his lover M. As sang mentioned Bananfishbones is inspired by Seymour Glass, a reoccurring character in J.D Salinger short stories, his final story featuring Seymour is A Perfect Day for Bananafish. I read the first Gormenghast book last year, and there were many lines that sounded familiar. Stiff as toys and tall as men is also a line from Charlotte Sometimes. I recently pulled out an old Cure fanzine from the 90's where RS listed some favorite books and authors, though not necessarily song inspiration, I'll find it again and post later
