I was thinking about this over the weekend... a new Cure album... I have learned a lot about myself these past few weeks / months since coming on the forum and interacting with everyone here... With rediscovering 4:13 thanks to sang and completely against my will (just kidding!) I have to say I really wouldn't mind an album like the last. Of course with a better song order... Then I started thinking, what would my perfect album be like given the current catalog? If the Cure put out a new album and it was similar to this; I think I would be happy...

Proper studio releases of these songs would be fantastic:
• A Boy I Never Knew • Please Come Home • Strum • It Can Never Be The Same • Step Into The Light
I want a dark, bleak album in the vein of Pornography and Faith but with a bit of a heavy metal edge like the self-titled album. Reeves would be very well-suited for this.

I totally agree with a pornography and faith feel but instead of the cure, throw in a mix of wish. That would be heaven.

| (PROBABLY) NOT BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR... | The Cure Title: 4.14 Scream / TBC
Once one of the most prolific and regular releasers of albums there was, while Robert Smith and co have consistently toured, they have not out out a record since 2008’s 4:13 Dream. 4.14 Scream was once rumoured to be its follow-up, however following line-up changes The Cure went back into the studio and... well... nothing yet. In the meantime we'll have to make do with highlights from The Cure's 2012 Reading Festival set.
Out: “I've no idea. I'm very bad at planning long term.” Robert Smith told Radio X in 2014
But at least there are video highlights from Reading 2012 to watch Thanks to godwina for the tip off
