Interesting Cure/Volkswagon mention

Interesting mention of the Cure this morning in an article about how a relatively famous Volkswagen advertisement brought a ton of attention to Nick Drake's catalogue and introduced his music to a lot of people that had never heard of him. The ad used Pink Moon but in the article they mention other songs that were considered and one was Lament.

Lament would have been a curious selection although it is one of my all time favorites. I'm not sure the execs at Volkswagen would have liked "Today there was a tragedy, underneath the bridge" in one of their ads, but it would have been interesting.
As a side note the people profiled in the article were the ones that came up with the ad using Lush's Sweetness and Light in it, which is awesome just because of the song.
