last night on BBC4 The Cure were on 3 different programs about British bands in America....it included a hilarious and highly awkward lip synching appearance on TOTP (I tthink)In Between days and a few interviews with Bob

Inbetween Days, in a light, jazzy arrangement with vocals, at a Panera Bread location in northeast US. The manager says DMX provides the restaurant chain's music.
No luck so far identifying the performers. Though in hunting, discovered two interesting covers, one by Paramore, one by Ben Folds.

I would love to hear that.

In her blog, the author did say that it's the only book of hers that has consistently remained in print. That was a few years ago now. I think it's quite a popular kid's book, even for non Cure fans

Re: query if the book Charlotte Sometimes by Penelope Farmer is in print/has been republished:
In the UK, there does seem to be a new Vintage Classics paperback (Oct 2013). Red Fox Classics has had a paperback (2002) available all along, though last year a London bookshop had to order it when I wanted a gift for a young friend.
Some of our favorite 80s stars a "little bit older" I would not say Pete Burns has aged "gracefully" He's a hot mess. and yeah Depeche Mode can be "The Rolling Stones of The 80s" As long as The Cure are the Jimi Hendrix of the 80s! HA!
And what is going with Adam Ant gothmaz Is that really him? I just saw a pic of him and he was hot! That scruffy old professor cannot be him? And yes our Robert is second to last. Anyway, enjoy!
OMG they picked his Captain Birdseye era, that's a bit mean! This was outside the Old Bailey, he had just been in court after causing some trouble during a bi-polar episode. It was a real low point for him and not the best reflection of how he looks now. That was actually about 10 years ago!

Like this? So, nice competition for Johnny Depp...

Yeah he's rocking the pirate look lately. Still, I think for a man who's nearly 60 he's not looking too bad at all. He's had some rough spots over the past few years, he's alot better than he was in 2010 that's for sure!
