off the back of a request for a full version of Forever from this show, I swear I hear Wendy Time in the first 2 and a half mins before the cut to the end of the song in the version I have...
Anyone else hear this??
Have a listen to the guitar about 30 seconds in to when the bass drum and bass kick in... that bassline / or note progression and guitar and vocals sound like Wendy Time...
let me know if you need a sample to listen to..
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!

it sounds a bit like the 91 version too! wow... now i have to go back and listen to all the 1983 shows again to see if there's any other gems in their Forevers... it sounds like an arduous task but it's not :-)

I am sure there is plenty to find in 1983...
An impression of sound Then everything is gone Forever
hmmmm.... very similar indeed. It's a fairly common progression though. The 83 version is a straight walk up the minor scale 1-2-3-4. The 91 version of Wendy Time is pretty close but it's actually a 1-2-3-5, but the 5th is an octave lower. That said, I totally wouldn't be surprised if that walk was swirling around in Simon's head looking for a home for a while before it made its way into a proper song.
I think there are more presongs from other tours that would become proper ones later. I should check my notebook... now I just remember maybe in 1998, I'm not sure... well, he started singing the lyrics of watching me fall or some other from Bloodflowers... does it ring the bell? I think it was during Untitled.
And not found, but I remembered (apart from the fact that I was actually there), so if you have it and want to check it out, at the end of Just like Heaven London 17th December 1997 Robert plays the chords of Out Of This World. (Gasp, gasp...)
