So I've just returned from the post office and had a quick look at the thing. Well, I have to say that I'm slightly underwhelmed by the book. It's nice, yes, but for the price I was seriously expecting something bigger, something better and something more "special". Mhm...

I really, really hate to say it, but the more I look at the book, the more disappointed I am. I like the sentiment of it and everything, but I think it's safe to say it will rarely come off the bookshelf. There's just something very lightweight and very unsatisfying about it.

I just had a discussion with a dear Cure friend and fan about the book (and she loved it too). I know I wrote a wonderful review, so before anyone else buys the book . . . don't have any preconceived ideas about it. It's not what you will expect. I personally love it, but when I first opened it, I thought "not what I expected, not worth the price". But it was later, when I sat down and just engrossed myself in it and blocked everything else out, that I feel in love with it. It is an expensive book and not what you will expect. For me it brought back a lot of memories and that's why I feel in love with it. It makes a great coffee table book. Also, have a drink (or whatever and relax) while looking at it and reminisce . . . that's what did it for me (the reminiscing ). That and the community of fans and all that's surrounded the last few years with shows. I personally am happy with mine and don't want to part with it. I know, i sound like a fan boy.
Oh I wouldn't part with it and I especially liked the section at the back with the TCT shows etc... knowing I was there in those pics somewhere with my lovely buddies from the interwebs. But it most certainly wasn't what I thought it was going to be...and that at least is a disappointment.

Can't say better ... slightly disapointed. But at the end glad to have it ...
