Never really saw the draw for orchestral arrangements. The music I listen to is all about deconstructing "convention" & to try to reconstruct it with a bunch of people who can't actually play what they were trained to play in the first place seems (to me) a bit of a waste of time. I studied music at school & aced it with a piece on how utterly tedious Ravel's Bolero was. (along with a drumming practical). I personally don't want to hear a load of trumpets & string sections try to recreate songs I love. I would much rather have a filthy rock n roll band do that. If folks like Jazz Coleman want to write symphonies that are totally detached from the musical genre I personally prefer, then so be it. It's not trying to imitate something great. It's being great instead. In short. Symphonic covers are a complete murdering of the songs we love.
BTW Corrected the spelling from Orechstral to Orchestral
Why thank you! Always nice to see someone is watching out for me and minding the farm.
Here is one with the actual artist that I find magnificent. I'm not a big fan of Elton but the musicians in this are amazing and I do like this song. To get all of these musicians in sync is pure talent.
