I’ve back in my ‘hometown’ and it’s currently -35 celsius with the wind chill. The weird thing is that I actually sort of enjoy the extreme cold or perhaps it’s just my frozen brain talking’! 😉
I can't even really fathom that!! I mean, I know the feeling of my hair, my butt on a bench and my snot freezing, but...

You can't enjoy it, unless you're a masochist!
Years ago I remember walking to school with a wind chill of over -50 Celsius. Now that was an experience I’ll never forget ; it felt like all the air in my lungs was being sucked out by a vacuum. This winter has been unusually warm, like hoovering between -3 Celsius to +4. It’s been snowy and warm. Warm and snowy.
They are weather babbling here about possible snow tonight & the upcoming week. It is f'n cold enough! Hate that. With RA, snow = more pain. I can drive fine in it but there are plenty of psycho idiots here who can't. Snow doesn't happen often here. Just made a BBQ run that will keep me fed the next few days & I stocked up on TV dinners & frozen pizza in case the weather people are horribly wrong about how much snow. It has happened many times in the past. Unless the power goes out (always a possibility), frozen food obviously can be used in the future in case the snow doesn't materialize. Better to be prepared than not.

I hope the weather people were wrong and there was no snow at all there...
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
And we have not-a-real-winter again here. Even if it's snowing it's only for a brief moment and the snow is melting very fast. This morning I could watch beautiful huge snowflakes falling on my balcony and two hours later there was nothing there. I'm not a fan of extreme temperatures but I miss the snow and the winter like ones I remember from my childhood or ones I experienced higher in the mountains. Just for two-three days, please...

Same happening here. Snow's alright if you don't need to go anywhere & I see so many people driving like idiots in it. They all seem to think gunning it is really funny. It isn't.

I couldn’t agree more. I was born in the Colorado Rockies on the first day of winter, so I love snow deeply.
Today, we got what I’ll call “slain.” Snow, rain, sleet mix. Not cold enough to make anything slippery, but it’s just gross and sad.
