I though you haven’t heard any of the new songs yet, as you frequently say.
I haven't heard them but have glanced at all the lyrics to see they often deal with loss and sadness. I'm going by people's reactions that the new songs are atmospheric and slow tempo rather than upbeat curepop.
Excuse me but did i read correct?
You haven't listened yet none of the new (lost) songs?
Which means you neither went to any of the U.K. (Lost World) Shows'22?!

No I haven't been to any cure gigs. I'm waiting for the new album to be released then I'll go see them on the subsequent album tour.

i thought this current tour '22-'23 Shows Of A Lost World is happening to promote the new long awaited but not released album... I'm Curious, once it will be released will you get a copy physical or digital version of it or you won't?

What makes anyone think that a studio version of a song will be automatically better or more interesting than a live version? A lot of the time the opposite is true.

The current tour is not an extensive album tour, they're only playing a few Lost World tracks rather than the whole album. On previous album tours the whole of the album is played with very few exceptions...Doubt during Faith tour, Icing Sugar during kissing tour, Truth Goodness and Beauty from The Cure album.
I expect the band to release SOALW after this year's tour, it'll be a successful album due to the great response the new songs are getting, then they'll do a tour playing all of it, those are the shows I'll be excited to see.
Of course I'll get the new album, been waiting 15 years for it! I'm a genuine fan of all their albums, I even enjoy the two I consider their weakest, The Cure and Wild Mood Swings.

Certainly better in terms of audio quality compared with the youtube videos and instagram streams and the songs will be probably more nuanced and polished making you hear little things that you did not notice before on the live versions. Further on, things like second or third voices (think of "Apart") can make a song more interesting (and is missing in live versions). But that being said, of course things can be also the other way round. Especially when the album has got an annoying production (like in my opinion the self titled album). And yes live versions often feature another kind of (fascinating) energy that can bring another layer ot a song. But for me personally I prefer for the most part studio versions over live versions.

Nobody probably thinks it will be better versions but it will be definitely better studio sound and you will hear all instruments, sounds, layers properly.

Never said that you aren't a major fan of the band,of course you are.
But i just can't get it...you didn't attend any of their latest European dates, strange of you.
What do i believe? this currnet tour will be their last one.So in that case you just missed your change to see them for once more.
Then again who knows? they might perform for a last time in RAH some time later in 2024/2025 ?
I do expect the new album to be released by the end of the tour and after some time perhaps Roger will quit as he did in the past or some other member of the band.
We are towards the end so just enjoy every second possible.
p.s. :weakest albums you said? self titled and 4:13 you mean.

Or that they will ever tour again after this year?

True, but hopefully they'll look back at this in a year or two and think how can we not want to do it again? Or at least some of it...
This. Here and Now.With (all of) You. That is all it is.
In a year? Ouh com'on,the covid story didn't taught you anything at all? people please wake up. Enjoy every second of this current tour as it will be the last thing they will ever do. Cause it might be. But until then . . .
