So, question for those who listened to the whole thing: Is the elephant in the room (the new album) been addressed at all?
Is there any juice aside from bassist minutiae?
I listened to it and don't remember it coming up at all.
Thank you. It'd say it was agreed beforehand "don't ask me about the album nor about that Facebook post of mine!" (Or was it twitter? I don't remember...)
Ha there was no mention of new lp, all the questions concerned SG's early musical adventures and groups and then bass stuff re influences, how A forest B line developed, and songs he likes to play live... Doesn't favour slow one's... Of the new songs presented last Yr on tour most were down tempo mood soundscapes... Nno bad thing IMO... But an interesting listen.

Definitely a 'cut & paste' interview. Interesting stuff about Simon's school band & use of the bass, but for those who haven't yet listened there is nothing about recent events.
LOL. Deborah Sexton is a completely real person. If anything sounds off then it's likely as she's sent the questions to Simon ahead of broadcast & then had the answers edited in.
Yeah agreed.
It's obviously done in this way, however poorly it ended up being edited and delivered. Pretty evident, really.
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!

I only listened cos it was Simon. But that format SUCKED!!! Those bands all sounded alike to me and it was torture listening to them. They should have had an hour of interview and an hour of music. Then I could have skipped the music and gotten to the important stuff!
Sadly DKFM have asked for this YT version to be pulled as they weren't asked for permission. But it's now on their mixcloud (along with the whole show) as per the tweet in the first post
I just listened to the whole show & the interview sounds a lot less stilted like that. Plus the cover versions are incredible. I did have a chuckle at Simon saying he didn't enjoy playing the more "goth" stuff. Mmmm......not a goth band huh?

He also said that The Hungry Ghost was his favourite track to perform.....when Simon "left" the band a couple of summers ago did anyone check the label to make sure the same one returned?
