they hadn't played there in 17 years, for many people it was the first time they saw the band live, so it's good to have all those hits in the set. we can't judge it by comparing to european or US shows. Even if some people follow the tour, it's more diffucult to follow than in Europe due to the large distances, wouldn't make much sense to vary the sets Swing-Tour-Style ;)I don't think the main set will change during the LatAM tour, maybe only alternating the Wish & Disintegration openings and endings. encores are the place for surprises
But they played One Hundred years! Nothing gothier and Cure-ish than that. I'm going to break all of the bass strings on Simon's guitar that he ueses to play IBD I'm telling you that!
I thought they were absolutely wonderful! They get even more amazing as the years go on.
Given the fact they are in their mid fifties and still playing 3 plus hours of pretty dam fine quality music, I would say they were amazing. To compare them to the Prayer Tour when they were in their 30s and still fresh is ludicrous. Sorry for such strong a word but it's fact.

I was there, and it was an amazing concert. Yes, the set list veered poppy, but there was still stuff like Bananafishbones and Push and Dressing Up for the fans. Plus, I like poppy The Cure anyway.
It was a way better concert than 1996 in Brazil - though Robert explained in interviews he was sick from something he'd eaten, so that justifies a less than stellar concert then!
Oh, the younger crowd at the place seemed to only be familiar with Disintegration and Wish anyway. I was surprised cause I'd have guessed this was a Greatest Hits crowd, but no - the songs from those albums were the ones who got the biggest reaction, even the ones that were ballads had people with their arms up the whole time. I had a box seat so I could really crowd watch as I watched the concert.
