Looks like Robert has some more work to do. I've heard that prices on the TM "Face Value" resell site are $300-$500 back east, at least some cities. Maybe that's in Chicago, NYC & Denver (to come) where they have the laws protecting scalpers. Go figure on that one!
He's had it fixed.

Thanks, Steve. Was just curious. I don't do Twitter, etc. Old school, haha.

Heh, heh. He said “premature activation”, heh heh.
There is a sad side effect of this though. Anyone who baulked at the erroneous prices (& they were frightening) & backed out now only have a slim chance of getting a ticket at this stage.
Yeah, I had one of those overpriced Cleveland tickets in my basket but obviously emptied it again. Annoying as this was the only sale I got into early. Ah well.

Yes, it is sad. I was in such a foul mood with all the errors and getting kicked out, I almost gave up trying. So by the time I got in, I didn't care about the fees, just getting a ticket. I was lucky enough to have budgeted for a high price, so the fees as a percentage were lame but acceptable. I can see how other fans just couldn't stomach it.

Glad you hung in there. There's a heck of a lot of frustration over the whole thing & I'm happy it's even made national news. This is noise that ticket bastard really doesn't want, but damn well deserves. And, as we've learned this week, the artists who accept the platinum & dynamic pricing model need to take a long look in the mirror.........if they're done preening themselves in it already.
I am starting to understand the "verified fan" gripes a bit more now. A lot of people were expecting, as they were verified, they would be able to purchase a ticket immediately. But! It seems they had to wait for a code (in a queue) to be able to pick something up. Naturally, as many hadn't read the way it works, they bombarded ticket bastard's seemingly feeble server with demands before they even got sent codes. That seems to have snarled up TM's system (such as it is) and created slowdowns (as they get whenever any major artist launches ticket sales with them). However, when the "verified fan" window closed no more codes were sent as now it opened up as a general sale. Here comes a pretty legitimate gripe. ALL the "verified fans" were in a presale scenario & as such should have been able to bag a ticket. Now many of them (justifiably) are angry at seeing people pick up general sale tickets that they had patiently waited in line for a couple of days previously. A bit like being sniped on evilbay. I don't recall any listed limit on the number of pre-sale/ verified fan tickets available. This is all I know
So they sold all the verified fan allocation? There was even an allocation? RS has already stated this isn't a perfect solution, but it seems a bit strange that verified fans were suddenly cut off when there was clearly demand for tickets (& still is). It's funning great that he's making sure as few a people as possible get ripped off but getting in on the ground floor & not getting a ticket before they go on general sale has to sting somewhat

There was a limit of 4 tickets on all sales. It was on the TM page. I got lucky in that I didn't get my code until 8 hours after they went on sale & there was nothing left at that point. Fortunately, I just happened to check the next morning & some tickets appeared. I think (but don't know for sure) that they were tickets that got nuked off 1 of the reseller sites. The tickets I grabbed were the best that were up but all of the seats that were posted were pretty good. The verified fan presale lasted 36 hours. I've done that kind of presale before & never had a problem. That includes Springsteen & Pearl Jam. The frenzy for both of those was even worse but I got tickets fairly fast. On presales I never go for the gucci seats as they are too expensive for me. I usually go for the disabled seats. There were none of those available for the Cure when I got my tickets but effectively they are the same as disabled seats as I have the luxury suites in front of me. I won't have to stand for the show which is the main concern.
I would imagine this might have something to do with international phone numbers, or the like. Seems tricky…
I have found myself feeling really sad at some points today at the thought of so many people who love this band not being able (at this point) to see them this time. It has kind of taken some of the joy out of getting tickets, I’ll say, imagining how sad some people are about this.

The whole ticket thing has become disgusting. The way these people benefits and take advantage from fans illusions is tragic. Digital world makes easy to bring out the worst of mankind.
