This double live album was recorded on The Cure’s 1992 Wish album tour, at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan. Originally released in 1993, the band comprised of Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Porl Thompson, Boris Williams, Perry Bamonte, and features many of the band’s biggest hits, including “Pictures Of You,” “Lullaby, “Just Like Heaven,” “The Walk, ” “Friday I’m In Love” and “Inbetween Days". 2LP Picture Disc. Unavailable on vinyl since its original release in 1993. This will be the first time it’s been on picture disc. The release was overseen by Robert Smith.
I'm usually a bit cynical when it comes to this stuff. But I'm now bordering on angry. Remember when the Wish 30th anniversary edition was delayed because of vinyl availability & pressing capacity? Doesn't seem to have affected rip off store day one iota. & that's not for just The Cure. The thousands of rip off store day re-issues that will be on evilbay even before the store doors open are taking all the pressing capacity & material away from new releases & smaller, emerging artists who simply get shoved to the back of the queue. It's a safe bet that just about every fan of The Cure has got Show anyway. On CD, vinyl, CDi, VHS, Laserdisc etc. WE DON'T NEED A 2LP PICTURE DISC. But what's bothering me (& I expect a considerable number of others) more is that we are still waiting for this. It's hard to justify any further hold up on SOALW with Show having been re-mastered by our Bob along with him supposedly remixing Noel sodding Gallagher songs. Clearly it's completely ready or there wouldn't be all this time for other stuff. Usually I'm pretty patient. Being a Sisters fan, that's something I've harnessed. Yes. Angry is where I am right now.
Wait, is this supposed to be the "imminent 2023 news"? I mean we know for several weeks that there would be a "Show" release. There was this leak from a record store owner on twitter. I am pretty sure we talked about it somewhere here too.

Reading what Roger said in December on twitter I would not be so sure about this. But there is indeed a Cure-Record completely ready for months according to Robert. Unfortunately it is not "Songs of a Lost World" but this upbeat album.

Oh Songs Of A Lost World will be the album. There's no going back on the amount of talk about it now. Since 2012 The Cure have been a complete beast of a band with an exceptional lineup & in the 11 years since then the only releases, with the exception of 40/ Cureation & Torn Down have been re-releases in stupid colours with a new sticker on the sleeve . This Show re-issue just feels like they're taking the piss. If anyone's getting excited for this, good for you. Enjoy being ripped off. It's your money (for something you already have).

Uh, bro, it's brand new. A "REMASTER" and has added crackle and pops... What's not to love?
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
