Feels like a really weak nominee class this year.
Rage will get in because Tom Morello is deep in with the Rock Hall.
Don't quite understand Joy Division/New Order joint nomination. Two completely different bands. Both influential, but definitely not the same. Ian versus Gillian... is there a more significant lineup change? To lump them together just seems crazy.
The New Order thing will be awkward of they get inducted because they'll have to include Hooky. Kate Bush has been long overlooked though.
Warren Zevon has been long overlooked, too. That guy wrote a real lot of great songs. His live album "Stand in the Fire" is a classic & 1 of my faves. & it rocks hard!
Now...the LAtAm tour? What do we do? What can we do?
JD/New order assuming they are on the same ticket, Kate, Warren, Cyndi, Iron maiden (just for Si) my choices. Sorry, i adore Cyndi. I met her. She's lovely and puts on one hell of a show. I'm absolutely voting for her.

I'll pay to see that. Maybe they will have a punch up live.
He'll probably turn up just to tell them they're not New Order. In fairness, they haven't been New Order since 1985. Just a lame electronic dance outfit.

Totally agree. Thank f they weren't able to keep the JD name. Ian would be rolling.
New Order were still great after 85, Brotherhood and Technique are both excellent. It was the patchy Republic that spoilt the album run. Imo! I remember at the time being so disappointed with Republic after loving the Regret single and the discography up to that point. They were impeccable in the 80's.
