Another year draws to a close & what a year we had. 46 spectacular concerts from our boys closely followed each evening by some of the finest folks around. It was so good to see so many new members join in the fun without hesitation over the last 3 months & forge new friendships from afar. All fingers & toes are crossed here at chez steve for more of the same on the other side of the pond &, indeed, down under in 2023. Not to mention the new album......ahem.... Plenty of time to get your beans prepared. As always, it hasn’t been the smoothest of years for some of you but seeing people rally around & offer shoulders of support has been another real high point for me. On several occasions. I want to personally thank every one of you for bringing moments of pure joy even to the extent of a lump in the throat & tears at times. Looking back, those moments make all this worthwhile. I’ll not drone on for too long & I expect most of you already went to sleep after the first 2 sentences anyway. Suffice to say, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing & whoever you’re doing it with, have a magical new year’s eve & let’s hope it breaks open the doors to a new year that treats everyone with kindness, happiness & good health.
I cannot believe it’s the last day of 2022, I just got used to writing ‘22! Anyway, I wish you all the best in 2023! Hoping it’ll be a banner year for all of us.
Thank you steve for a very nice write up, no, not too long at all 😚
If I'm being totally honest 2022 is terrible, one of the worst years I remember. I want it go away and never come back. The only truly, 100% bright, happy things that happened was The Cure tour and, as always, my cats who always bring a smile on my face.
May 2023 be peaceful, healthy, happy, wealthy and bright to all of you, including our boys of course!
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
