Hi all,
With the current tour coming to an end, some of you mentioned already the risk of a PTT (Post Tour Trauma). I stated earlier that some kind of Twitter Listening Party could be a nice thing to do, but then I noticed not everyone has/wants a Twitter account (me included) or whatever skills needed to host one. And of course, there's the unpredictability of Elon too.
So I've been thinking about an alternative that would maybe work for everyone reading/posting here in the forum, and would not go to waste, would remain inside this forum for eternity and a couple of days (or at least until the next EMP).
What about some kind of "PTT Night with XYZ" (where XYZ is a forum member willing to host one)? The concept could be as simple as this:
1. A new thread is created for every event (in a specific folder - steve?)
2. The host selects her/his favorite or most memorable TC songs/performances/... on YT
3. The host kicks off the event by posting a first link (on which everyone who joined clicks of course) and the talking/posting/laughing/singing/... can start.
4. Repeat step 3 for as long as the duration of a PTT Night has been set
5. Say goodnight and drink coffee
Such an event could mabe keep this great live tour experience alive and keep us connected inbetween tour/concert/festival Cure months/years, and we'd get to learn some nice or unknown Cure songs/performances from each other. And all would be archived in the forum for later view to those who could not attend...
Open questions:
- Frequency? Every month? Once a week? Depends on interest and/or willingness to host
- Duration? One hour? Two hours? 36500 days?
- Host? In order of forum membership? In order of signing up in a "host" thread? Assigned to the current host at the end of the event? No matter what, count me in.
Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud and the current tour is still going strong, with the grand finale coming closer and closer. Enjoy to the fullest extent!
I'm sure I'll read in your feedback what you think about the above.
