Getting more nervous now. Tomorrow the dumpster/ skip is supposed to arrive & the wall destruction begins. In the past 2 days a couple came and meticulously dismantled the cserépkályha to rebuild in a house they've just bought. The cserépkályha being that golden brown ceramic tile stove thing in the living room. It took them 2 days to take off every tile, photograph it & write down precise instructions for rebuilding it in its new home. Even better news though. They asked if they could have any of the other stuff that had been ripped out. So they ended up with a shower cabin, a shower pan/ tray, the kitchen sink, and a couple of boilers. At least I don't have to heave those into the skip tomorrow.
Some walls got smashed down today. The two upstairs bedrooms are now one big one & the wall between the living room & kitchen/ diner is gone. Filled up a skip with rubble & there'll be another one tomorrow. Tiled floors coming up tomorrow. All the floors need to be level eventually for the floor heating to go in. New windows should be in very shortly too. Quite a lot has happened over the last couple of weeks.
