“I’ve just finished doing the ‘Wish’ remaster, and there are so many of Simon’s demos that never got past the demo stage and remained instrumental – purely because I couldn’t think of any words for them. That’s really sad, because some of them were really great!
“They’re all coming out as instrumentals, and I think there are about 36 unreleased songs coming out on the package. That’s the same every time we do anything. There’s always loads of music, and a lot of it is Simon’s. I just run out of words!”
Now that I understand what the honor RS and SG received actually was about, I think it’s really lovely they shared it. Long term partnerships of any kind go through stages that are difficult. To have a successful creative partnership for as long as they have is truly an accomplishment. Something tells me they each have their own strong artistic ideas, but they’ve managed things to great effect. I don’t believe for a moment RS would bother to work with someone he didn’t respect artistically; why bother? As much as I respect Robert as an artist (to say nothing of as a human, or maybe an alien) Simon is invaluable in terms of The Cure’s overall body of work. So, I’m very proud of them, both.

I was excited Simon got to speak. Hahaha They sound and look fab as usual. And contrary to what others are saying i love Simon's trousers! I can't picture Robert in those but Simon is rocking them.
