These boots were made for walking

I love shoes more than my day-to-day wear lets on.

I think this has some mileage so I'll make it a separate thread

I've read about Beatle boots, but mostly in historical tales of life in the 1960s haha. My shoe shelf is kinda pathetic. Plastic sandals 90% of the time, battered DMs for freezing weather (or gigs or moving big heavy objects). I do have some impractically high heels and a mysterious pair of unlabeled Italian red sneakers, just in case ...

Danielle I guess they have a decent grip on them but I don't think I had an opportunity to test it on real ice. On the frozen snow they're OK.

My boots had a bit of metal in them & as such set off the detectors in Heathrow. Some very serious gentlemen with machine guns pulled me off to the side for a rather thorough search. This was pre-911 so us yanks weren't used to this level of scrutiny. It was an eye opening experience at the time. Sad that it's so commonplace now.

These are not at all comfortable, but they’re pretty. Bonus - they make me effing tall!  

I just got these a couple of weeks ago because I needed something better for walking in the cemetery in all conditions. They are new favorites for all the walking I do.
