Danielle 's recent post about a dream she had triggered the idea of this. Gotta say I loved her dream (I love dreams) and the fact that she shared it here made me wonder why we still don't have a dreams thread (maybe there is one, but I haven't seen it). Anyway, I would love to share some of our dreams with whoever wants to write them here. So, I'm going to start with one.
I have the habit of writing down any dreams whenever I feel they are interesting as soon as I wake up. I had a dream a month or so ago that gave me the idea for a comic book I'm currently drawing.
The dream starts with me in Tokio -I've never been there- wandering around and searching for a woman I've never seen before because I have to say something important to her. Next, I'm in a bus behind her. I don't know why, but I know she is the one I'm looking for. She gets off the bus after a while.
At the bus stop, she mets her boyfriend. I follow them as they walk in an area of narrow streets, with a flea market in it. The stalls displays lots of bizarre objects and goods (can't remember any particular one, just felt that it was bizarre merch).
Some time later, they enter an old wood door leading to a wide staircase that goes down underground. It reminded me of the Jabba's Palace entrance. In the middle of the stairs, I come across a huge and tall creature made of sand, with very tiny face features, specially his eyes, wich can't almost be seen. He breaths so heavy and walks extremely slowly.
I finally enter in a cave-like room with lots of people and small shops. The woman is there, alone. Her boyfriend has gone. I approach her and say "I don't know you, we have never met, but you are are pregnant and the child is mine".
She looks at me like I'm completely deranged, says nothing and leaves.
Can't remember anything else. I guess I'm reading too much manga lately....
I woke up shocked and loved the idea so much so I started a script. I don't know where it will end but I'm having a lot of fun drawing it.
I would love to hear anyone's dreams. There is always something interesting in them.
