It was nice to see Ferrari do well. They've been through a rough patch the last few years. It looks like they figured out the new cars as well or better than anyone. Hamilton was very gracious toward them on the podium. Also was nice to see Red Bull totally choke! Can't stand Verstappen. Overall, the whole race felt more competitive than last year. Bodes well for the season. I'll take races like that for the whole schedule.
Also, I think I've got my buddy in Montana converted to a F1 fan from NASCAR. Watched the race yesterday & was very impressed. They have ruined NASCAR with bad rule changes. There's very little strategy involved anymore. In F1, strategy is a huge part of the racing.
At Monaco it's the only part of the racing. Monaco is such a BS grand prix in my opinion. It's nothing more than a dog & pony show for rich people. Cars can't overtake & you're left relying on quick pit stops & hoping someone does/ doesn't bin the car into a wall. & the event itself is just a side show against the back drop of who's got the biggest boat & the most super models/ celebs on it. I'd happily see it removed from the competitive calendar & leave it in as purely a charity fund raising event.

I would still love to go just for the history of it. Caveat: only if I was a rich person! Actually, I'd love to go to any F1 race but the health situation & being on a fixed income precludes it. Perhaps if they have one in California someday but most likely it would have to be soon. So, not likely.

I love the Monaco Formula One track, but the cars are too big now. It's such a tradition it should be the main reason making the cars smaller again.
If I remember correctly, last season Monaco had just one on-track overtake (and I think it was in the first lap, 15th to 14th or something like that) in the entire race and no yellow flags. Literally nothing happened from start to finish.
