Toto's lodged 2 protests with the FIA. They effectively wiped out Hamilton's 11 second lead by letting ONLY the 4 cars between him & Verstappen pass the safety car before the restart for the final lap. That was one of the most tense seasons in a long time & the FIA really horsed that up for everyone regardless of the outcome

I don't understand Mercedes appeal, I mean, they have to try something since there's a small chance of success but surely the only thing they could do is void the race entirely?

Finished watching the race a little bit ago. Still kind of stunned at what a mess that ending was. A 12 second lead wiped out by unlapping some cars and immediately green flagging things... I have to think Lewis knows he didn't lose this race. The stewards lost it for him.
Is Aus still first of the season? There was an amazing Aus gp back when Brundle was still racing - completely wrote the car off on the second big right - snapped it in half after going into the back of someone. He just ran back to the pitlane and got in the spare car in time for the restart. Think he stacked that one too!

Is Aus still first of the season? There was an amazing Aus gp back when Brundle was still racing - completely wrote the car off on the second big right - snapped it in half after going into the back of someone. He just ran back to the pitlane and got in the spare car in time for the restart. Think he stacked that one too!
