The announcement for these release made me remember the 'promises' list we had compile... It's not that I really have anything against these two forthcoming picture discs, sure they're nice anyway for collectors, but I'd spend my money with so much more excitement on some other items that will never see the light...
They don't get that greedy, there's only one calendar per year, it takes a year hard work just to compile pictures for one calendar let alone 3. Porn calendar for next year then J̶a̶p̶a̶n̶e̶s̶e̶ ̶w̶h̶i̶s̶p̶e̶r̶s̶ The Top calendar for the year after
Rest assured, the "lets go to bed" pyjamas and "drowning man" speedos budgie smugglers are in the pipe line.
FTFY
The Top calendar will be the year after Japanese whispers calendar. Very exciting cure times, I hope Bob takes a well earned rest sometime.
I still use a 2012 Audrey Hepburn calendar so I'm not too keen on that. Robert should at least drop a song or two without any fuss. We found out that he has a computer a few months ago after all!
is there any difference between 2021 black vinyl and 2021 picture disc? I know there's high quality pressings still coming out if you into the hip and groovy baby, but not if we're listening to Deep Purple or The Cure. Any name band is guaranteed bad quality vinyl.
I'm still trying to get into CDs and still failing...Just spent £17 50 on Yoko Ono wailing on vinyl 'peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssccccc jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhn' because the CDr that I've got somehow doesn't satisfy.
I'm thinking maybe hypnotherapy might be the next move.
Either which way...I just can't buy vinyl post 2012 unless it's The Waterboys.

I don't think there is a 2021 black vinyl. At least I don't see one listed anywhere. If there was then it would likely be from the same stampers so I'd avoid the picture disc at all costs. Unless you like excessive surface noise.

nah, I mean in general. eeee back when I were a lad etc...picture discs were bad sound, these days most major pressings are as bad as a picture disc, at least it seems to me. I've bought a few in the last ten years and they've been disappointing. But I don't buy the cool stuff, I've read plenty on Discogs forum about some great plants still in operation but the great stuff isn't what I like...Give me Judas Priest over innovation every day. It's just my arrested development. I'm good with it.
which means that it is sold out in physical record stores?
Nope. These are usually store owners who have over-ordered just to be able to sell them at an even more ridiculous price than they would be in the stores along with speculators who think they'll pick up a few copies to make a quick buck from on evilbay. Rip off store day is just one huge con.

If you really want one I'm sure you have a *much* better chance at a brick and mortar record store. When they hear the little bell tinkle on the door when you come in, they may have to wipe the drool from their chin after dozing, but they'll be thrilled to see you!
