Let's face it. 2021 can't be any worse than the train wreck that was 2020 can it? & I do hope that wasn't the kiss of death. This year has been a massive strain, struggle & source of a lot of stress for many of us, if not all of us. During that time we've seen the community here share their ordeals, experiences &, on occasion, their grief. In return, it's been something of a rare positive in a year of so many negatives to see support, kind words & advice being returned to those who have had a rough time of it & that's really what this community is about. A group of friends, some in real life, some virtually, but all in actuality coming together & making the best of what hand has been dealt over the last 12 months. Looking forward to 2021, hopefully there's an end in sight. With vaccines rolling out life should gradually return to something closer to normality (whatever that means) & maybe we'll even start to see the return of live music & the ability to socialise & just hug with people we've all had to keep our distance from this year. Obviously I can't predict the future. I can only hope that this will be the case &, however 2021 eventually pans out, I know that there's a bunch of amazing people here who know how to keep each others' spirits up a little & the phrase, "Every little helps." Has seldom been more true. Whatever you're doing this evening to see in the new year, please do it safely & we'll see you all on the other side.
happy night everyone and happy new year. All my best wishes so that this next year is the beginning of the overcoming of all the evils that have made us not be able to enjoy life as we really want. take care of yourself and do not lack health
Nothing to add, steve. 100% true. The Cure don't know that apart from making stellar music they are able to influence on creation of amazing human bonds.
2021 just has to be better. Faith is crucial here. To put it very clearly, I don't mean faith in any god but only in that there are too valuable and beautiful things in the world and in the human kind to let them vanish. With a bit of reason and wisdom the virus which changed our lives can be fought back. With faith that something which we used to call normal life is possible to bring back it really is achievable. All the other things we experience we have to manage ourselves and with priceless help of our friends.
Cheers dear Cure people
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
