Even though I'm pished off at the NFL for continuing to have full stadium games in the midst of a pandemic (the almighty dollar & corporate profit margins rule all), it is the high holy season. In honour of it I just purchased the following for $4. $20 off!

Only good place for those ones are in the trash.
How much?!! My Joy Division mask cost £15, £10 for a Bunnymen mask, £12 for an Arsenal Banana Kit mask and an official Arsenal mask which was absolutely free after I paid £2k for a new season ticket.
Things are really starting to open up rapidly here. But there’s a catch, to attend a sporting event, dine at a restaurant, or drink at a bar, you must be fully vaccinated AND wear a mask. I now have a ‘vaccine passport’ (QR code on my phone, plus I ordered a physical card, which is like kicking it old school), even though I don’t really intend on branching out much from my ‘new’ routine. One sorta funny thing is that, even though I haven’t been to a movie theatre in years, I’m thinking of going to one soon! I’m just craving an outing, but don’t feel like being somewhere crowded.
I just bought a ticket for King Crimson at the Beacon. They moved the show from Forest Hills stadium to the Beacon like 2 days ago - and it requires vaxx card, and cannot NOT do it
Where i work (which is a hospital) we got an email that employees have until October 19 2021 to get vaccinated. If they are not vaccinated by that date that is the date of their resignation. I would say they are serious about being vaccinated. And I had my vaccination card laminated. Good to go.

I think "Dune" will be my Waterloo as far as going to a movie theater goes. In the US the proof of vaccination card is pathetic. They are super easy to copy & forge which is becoming an issue. I took my card in to get it laminated. Instead, the store made a colour copy & I had that laminated. I carry the copy around & have the original stashed at home. The copy is indistinguishable from the original. Please be careful if you do go out Danielle . The numbers of infected where I live are higher than the same time last year. The delta variant is more contagious than the original strain.

That's more ' generous ' than my hospital - They's ve given till Sept 15th to get the 1st shot. I'm gonna be 7 months past my 2nd shot in a few days - so they are gonna start lining us up for the booster!

Ugh, I'm feeling really conflicted at this point about getting a booster. I'll hit 8 months past the second shot in early October. At this point, I just don't know how to think about that issue. I am not at risk in any way of complications and do not have a compromised immune system. I wish there was more guidance.

yay we may be same day!! My 2nd was Feb 3rd! When was yours? I was scheduled for Feb 2nd but got stuck in DC because of the crazy snowstorm and all Amtrak was cancelled lol
yeah, I will get the booster probably ... EVEN THOUGH - I really should feel even more conflicted since I am post Covid - so my shots were already boosters....

We received a similar email; however, no deadline was given. In the email received, it just said that ALL public servants across the country must be vaccinated. I imagine that, depending on the results of the upcoming election, this mandate could be dropped.

My 2nd shot was Feb 11th. Given the fact you couldn't make your Feb 2nd appointment I'm glad you got in on the 3rd! It was chaos in terms of scheduling when I got mine (in Bushwick).
I guess until my son is eligible to be vaccinated and because I work with some elderly people that should inform my decision about getting a booster. I just don't know anything, anymore. It will also be time to get a flu shot soon (I like to get mine early in the season).

You may want to keep in mind that you will need at least a 2 week gap between the COVID & flu vaccine shots. I'm having to juggle that + chemo sessions. I like to get the flu one early in the season, too. I have to get the high dosage version, so not as many options as to where I can get it. I'm pretty sure that the current crisis is going to be with us for awhile so it's smart to get the booster. Also, the lambada variant (sounds like a dance!) is lurking out there. 2 states have reported cases so far so there's not as much press as delta yet. I have to stay on top of the situation because I'm on 2 immumity suppressing drugs. Good luck!
