Nothing irritates me more than internet experts. Well that and running out of coffee. Arnold is 100% correct. Pennsylvania has one of the highest number of vaccinated people in the country seconded only by New York and California. We also have some of the lowest amount of new COVID19 cases in the country. Coincidence? Yeah, I don't think so.
I went to the garden center today, which also has a florist in it. The woman behind the counter told me how depressed she and her boss were today because they'd already gotten so many calls for funeral flowers due to the Delta surge. She said the hardest one was a man who couldn't keep it together calling for the funeral of his 36 yo son.
I honestly hadn't thought about florists being overwhelmed. I feel really sheltered now that we personally are enjoying such relative freedom.
I believe it's either on his farcebook or instagraph thingy. What I posted was an image capture that was posted on the twitters by somebody
I saw another Arnie response on twitter today, some moron had questioned the validity of the Special Olympics and Arnie put him/her in his/her place very eloquently.
As someone who used to work with people with developmental disabilities, I now love Arnie even more. Righteous dude (at least in some ways). It's hard not to want to eviscerate someone like that. I wouldn't have bothered taking the high road.
To keep this on topic - I hope he doesn't get COVID!

I admit to having some baggage with Arnie which comes from the time I lived in California: that completely idiotic recall election in 2003 to get democratic governor out of office (and propel Arnie up) blaming Enron/PG&E engineered energy crisis on him - which was sad and pathetic. At least some Enron execs did time. Arnie did win normal election afterwards... but he vetoed same-sex marriage while in office and I don't take this sorta thing lightly. Now, compared to modern-day republicans - Arnie is a blessing and also, people change... so there's that

Er, yeah. I definitely don't trust him as stable and not pandering to whomever he thinks will help his agenda because he is, after all, a politician. But I am thankful he at least seems to have his head partially out of his a$$, now. But let's not forget evil Arnie, you're right.
Sigh, yes I remember when, a long time ago, there were no places left in the hospital here to take people (even hallways full) and I also remember seeing footage of that in LA. Then, people start dying at home and there is nowhere to take the bodies. Funeral directors were overwhelmed and couldn’t properly store some bodies, so they started decomposing in trucks, causing another kind of public health issue. It’s sad they didn’t believe it when it happened in so many other places. Too late now for too many.
Be diligent. People who've had the vaccine are getting the delta variant BUT they are not dying nor are they very ill. Most aren't even hospitalized. Just sort of cold like and fever. Lack of taste. Keep distancing and masking. Xo
I've got an appointment for a third Moderna shot on August 30. Would get sooner as I'm on 2 immunosuppressing drugs but have to juggle the timing between infusions. Looking more & more like I'm going to skip the show I have tickets for next week although it may be cancelled or postponed. The band (Mammoth WVH) has had to back out of several shows due to COVID in touring party. The tickets weren't expensive but it wouldn't be a bad thing to get the money back. Cases of the delta variant are increasing rapidly in the state to the point where some hospitals are running out of beds.

It’s shiat that you won’t be able to attend the show, but with the surge of infections due to the Delta variant, prolly best to play it safe!
Side note: my friend’s son is currently visiting his girlfriend(they met on the World Wide Web) in Seattle right now and from what I heard, he absolutely loves it!
