I guess the takeaway here is to watch for signs of trouble after receiving an AstraZeneca-Oxford COVID-19 vaccine or really any vaccine.
While that's an awful thing, it's actually incredibly rare to get clots. There have been one or two cases of rare clots "linked" to other vaccines (but AZ, the only not for profit & cheapest one seems to get all the press, as investment vultures want their shares in other vaccines to make them $$) too but, as I recall, the clots related to the vaccines have all been on the brain. Various health authorities have paused the AZ roll-out to do more lab testing, but have put it back in the roll-out based on the minuscule risk. But you're completely right. Any unexpected symptoms should immediately be referred to your doctor.
Agreed. I had intended on adding to ‘see your doctor if you’re experiencing any unexpected reactions’, but alas, it slipped my mind. Poor man though, his life will be forever altered from this. Still though, IMO, getting the vaccine is worth the (incredibly ) low low risk of potentially experiencing a side effect.
Thanks both. I feel like I have really whacked into something with my arm. Sort of like the thing you do when you go out & get whammoed & don't remember bashing into a door frame/ lamp post/ wall/ etc. It's more achy than the first one, but nothing really to be worried about.
Thank you both! This little setback will certainly be worth this minor inconvenience, especially when we’ll all be able to Move about freely again. . ( btw - I’ll admit that I’m a big suck when I’m not feeling well)
The stay-at-home order has been extended for another two weeks. Honestly, It’s becoming increasingly difficult to maintain a positive attitude during this time. Hopefully this will be it though for lockdowns ; ; then we can enjoy summer a bit .
You just need to hang in there. Not long now until this thing starts to recede. Provided everyone sticks to the rules & is sensible
The last bit you wrote is likely one of the main reasons why we’re currently the Covid hotspot in North America. People have been skirting the rules and holding gathering/parties despite the restrictions. In a province of just over a million people, it’s disheartening to see the number of daily infections increase to, what is it, 600 I think ? But despite this, people continue to do as they please.
Sigh. I mean I guess it is what it is, but hopefully the sentiment will change and citizens will start following the rules, only time will tell.
