Morning all, I am so exhausted even the hair on my toes hurt!! It was so hot at the even that we had a few folks around the front pass out. Not too sure if alcohol was involved with those few that suffered the impairment. I arrived a bit late to the venue. Around 3 hours after the doors opened for the general public.I didn't expect to get a rail spot and I knew that standing would be a challenge but I managed to hang in there strong. Prior to our boys coming out I listened to deftones and was in the middle of a mosh pit..not a good idea cause it drain my strenght towards the end..but hey! Had to enjoy the moment a bit. On the plus side the mosh pit enabled me to get close to the front. Once the Deftones were done the Pixies came on. I watched as the drummer was killing it. He had to be at least 60 years old nearly 70 and was still killing it. I though I had a good spot at the venue until the cell phone wave pop up. Way too many to try to have my eyes navigate through. As Pipperoo mentioned Cell phone festival indeed. Of course some of us in the back complained.. so the wave of phones didn't last. The set list was the same as previous one mentioned. I did enjoy singing and dancing to them as much as anyone else would. The stage was a bit small which contained rober from wondering off. I like how everytime he came over to my side he looked at me and smiled. He does it as though he scan every single one of those faces just to see and make sure he acknowledges all. Rober was in great form, singing and dancing. He was even jumping up and down. Dont know when was the last time I saw that from rober. I hope someone captured that and post it on social media or YT. I have to check my videos later to see if I captured this. All the emotions poured out of rober during disintegration..he tried to hold back the tears.but in the end just gave in. Reception as the venue or at least where I was was poor. Planned on scoping it but at the end just gave up. The line to the cure store/merch seemed never ending! I waited 45 minutes and the line didn't move at all. Even though they had 6 seperate lines I wasnt in any good shape to wait any longer after our boys finiahed. Good thing though cause by the end they only had XXL merch..at least for the Cure related items. I am going to get the merch through the Cure store. No choice now. Overall it was good to see them again. I loved the fact that the younger generation around me were so into them that I smiled when they chatted about cure related songs, venues, concerts and such. Thanks sang for uploading the pictures. lioness for wearing the bear suit for me. It was way too hot to even dare to try it at this venue..would of had a fainted bear at the Venue. ninja thanks for the gif..they made my morning. steve for the great write up. To the rest of you- stay active on here..relax for a bit until our next concert. See you all soon.

Dave is 57! Younger than Robert and only 5 years older than the new boy, Jason
“There’s no such thing as a bad Cure setlist, unless it somehow consisted of only deep cuts from Wild Mood Swings or something — and even then, I’d pay good money for the Cure committing to such a batShirt idea this late in the game.”
Finally had time to read through all this & after saying goodbye to my brother last night, this thread cheered me up immensely. You outdid yourselves on the gifs/ memes once again Huge thanks to sangPipperooDarthBlood for manning the pumps & to fiveswinglive for the wonderful images . Last day of summer it may have been but certainly not the last of The Cure. Thankyou to the band for making our summer so brilliant in a world full of such shiat.

And the second the MGMT album came out I loved it and bought and said "Yeah, BIG Cure influence right there"
