I'm seeing them live in August and I'd be fine with them cancelling the show if it meant 100% getting the new album.

But I could see them cancelling the rest of the festivals and still not releasing a new album this year!

They've had a lot of free time during the 11 years to record and release albums so it's not having enough free time being the issue.

It's whether they are motivated to ever release a new song or album again.

I won't be suprised if 4:13 dream turns out to be The Cure's final album.
14 studio albums are definitely a good substantial back catalogue.
