Is Twin Peaks seriously worth watching? I have it on HBO GO apparently & everyone seems to be raving about it. I've never seen it & am slightly sceptical that the love for it could be just ironic.
Do it!!!!! The whole thing. Original series, Firewalk With Me, Twin Peaks: The Return. What a lot of people don't get is that it's a really DARK comedy. & treatise on the occult of course. Only David Lynch.

At it's best, it's incredible. The second season has issues but what an ending! The recent series is almost perfection. You really need to watch it chronologically as it was released - 1,2, FWWM, Return.
A friend just turned me onto Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces which was done same time as Firewalk. Haven't watched yet but evidently delves more into the story of David Bowie's character amongst other things. Will be viewing soon....

Is there other David Lynch stuff that you like/don't like?
I liked Wild At Heart & Blue Velvet. Elephant Man was superb, but I think that was more to do with John Hurt than anything else. Dune was fairly meh, but Mulholland Drive was utter carp. I will set off on the journey I think. Thanks for all the recommendations

Hummm...... Then, maybe I should reconsider to recommend you the third season, even FWWM.
I think Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive and Inland Empire are his three best works, three absolute masterpieces, three films I adore and that I've seen countless times.

I will second (or is it third or fourth by now?) everyone's recommendation that season one is a masterpiece, season two is utter crap until the finale, and the quirky brilliance of FWWM endures. Watch it all, steve!
Did anyone else watch the Netflix short Lynch dropped on his birthday this year (Jan 20)... "What Did Jack Do?" I loved it!
