can we not quit these pointless vanity projects? even New Model Army are getting into the merchandise like a resurrected Gene Simmons... although a Cure hoover, a Cure stand up lamp and I'm showing my tourist knowledge of the Cure here..what was that third object on the first album? What was it?
Can we do it without hurting others is what i'm asking? And if not...go ahead pop kids and have fun...I really don't want to spoil the party

While your concern is in the right place, for a lot of these clothing suppliers the "slave trade cotton" wages are better than no wages at all.
Some decades ago there was a American show called "Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee". Kathie Lee Gifford (who became famous because she was married to a football player) had her own clothing line.
She was "shamed" by activists who announced that her clothing was made in sweatshops by third-world children. She cancelled the apparel lines and the factories were closed.
About five years after, a reporter flew to the country in question to find out what had happened to the children who worked at those sweatshops. elfink, a good percentage of them had turned to the narcotics trade and worse, sex trafficking.
So we in effect had a case where preachy, moralizing western activists shut down clothing lines and forced these children into prostitution. Not much of a save, to move from a sweatshop to a brothel.
So yes, I'd be happy to continue feeding, clothing, and providing for families in countries that make these clothes. If you offer no alternative employment, it's not very moral to make these kids find "alternate" employment besides the sweatshop. Just sayin'
