I don't like the idea..slave trade cotton and chlorine bleached material patterned with Iraqui ink etc etc etc...as Julian Cope said in that great song..'badges? badges? we don't need no stinking badges..I don't want no be no civilised I want to be a savage'
can we not quit these pointless vanity projects? even New Model Army are getting into the merchandise like a resurrected Gene Simmons... although a Cure hoover, a Cure stand up lamp and I'm showing my tourist knowledge of the Cure here..what was that third object on the first album? What was it?
Can we do it without hurting others is what i'm asking? And if not...go ahead pop kids and have fun...I really don't want to spoil the party X

So you never buy a The Cure shirt at any concert to have as a memento then? Hmmm would be a shame if not. I love all of my Cure shirts. They remind me of great times! People on this forum work very hard behind the scenes to keep it going (without asking for money and using their own money to keep it ad free etc...) Maybe we want a little memento too! Just saying and you have every right to your opinion. ONWARDS

my entire reasoning for bringing it up was an attempt to do something good by making a bit of money for charity. its not like i need more tshirts. my first thought was for Make a Wish, which is a charity i support. i like helping kids especially, something i think i share with Robert. i'm told that there are some in the band that prefer Teenage Cancer Trust & Amnesty International. I'm more than good with both of those. after bringing it up months ago, i've more or less been shut out of the project by the powers that be in the shadows. i was/am more than willing to put in some work to make it happen. aspects of it are what i did for a career for over 25 years. still use some of the skills in a different arena. more than a bit irate about how everything has gone down. or more accurately not gone down. not trying to be negative. i would still be willing to contribute if asked/allowed.

Ah sure no Pip...not only that but I buy sunglasses from department stores and accept slave trade sugar in service station Starbucks' that offer fair trade cofeee the devious little sneaks......I really really want to make it clear that i'm not a plastic jesus showing the narrow path....I actually don't care. Which might not be good..But when asked 'do I want this as a good idea', I like the conversation of 'Bad idea...bad idea!' Love you all to death and you know it X

Ouch..Chuck I'm dead sorry for how my response landed here...no way was I trying to go stomping on something good...I've only just read this after responding to Pips upset...Sometimes we have to walk on flelds of lillies to reach better pastures, and none of us want to do it..we only do it with careful consideration.
If we are in a three year old state of 'look at that glittery thing' then I want to make us aware of the cost of that glitery thing. If we are in an adult state of 'how can this glittery thing benefit others' then I'm in the conversation X

Why not go a little bit NUTS and wear it... tomorrow?!
It is packed away! haha I must find it! It's very cool! Really it is! I would love us to have a TCC Halloween shirt. Or maybe we could do an Edward Gorey's Birthday Shirt and change it up! haha
